Goteborg, March 30, 2016: SKF (SKF) today announced that it will open a new factory in Mexico Sapopan sealing solution. The new plant is located in the vicinity of the Guadalajara sealed solutions plant to facilitate continued expansion of production, the plant is mainly for North American Automotive oem.
SKF automotive and aerospace business area president St phane Le Mounier said: "we grow so that we can continue to develop the seal of our business in the entire North American development in Mexico. We will combine the modern production technology with the existing logistics infrastructure, on the one hand can improve production efficiency, on the other hand can also improve our customer service level."
SKF is trying to optimize the use of manufacturing assets in the investment rate, Sapopan is one of an initiative. The new plant will be put into production within the next six months. At the same time, SKF will close in the Oklahoma County of Hobart factory, the factory production will be transferred to the upcoming Thabo Pan Xin factory.
SKF is committed to continuously reduce the impact on the business environment, the new plant will be built according to the LEED standard.
